Transit Visa for maximum stay of 14 Days. Index no 111. Cost AUS$25.00
This visa is used for transiting purposes only. The time allowed is to cover transport emergencies, unfriendly weather and other circumstances which contributing to delays of transiting.

Visiting Visa for maximum stay of 60 (sixty) Days. Index no 211. Cost AUS$60.00
This visa is used for all aspects of activities including governmental affairs, tourism, social & cultural (sponsor letter is required), journalistic and business purposes. Working is not permitted.

Multiple Entry Visa for maximum stay of 1 (one) year with each visit not exceeding 60 (sixty) Days. Index no 212. Cost AUS$165.00.
This Visa is used for variety of purposes but not working. To attain it, a n approval letter from Immigration office in Jakarta must be obtained. In addition, a letter of recommendation from either the sponsor company in the country of origin or from the company in Indonesia is also required. Sponsor letter must contain :

1. Addressed to the Indonesian Consulate in Darwin, att. Visa Section;
2. A guarantee of the availability of funds to cover living expenses while in Indonesia;
3. The occupation and position of the applicant;
4. Request that a multiple entry Visa be issued for the applicant.
   
   

Limited Stay Visa for maximum stay of I (one) or 2 (two) years. Cost AUS$165.00.
This Visa required an approval letter from Immigration office in Jakarta . It is used for variety of purposes including working and comprises of the following categories:

For Working Purpose :
Index no 311 is for World Trade Organisation (WTO) workers with maximum stay of and they are allowed to have 2 (two) years stay;
Index no 312 is for skilled workers with maximum stay of I (one) year.

For Other Purposes:
Index no 313 is for investing purpose with maximum stay of 1 (one) year
Index no 314 is for investing purpose with maximum stay of 2 (two) year
Index no 315 is for undergoing training or research with maximum stay of 1 (one) year
Index no 316 is for studying purpose with maximum stay of 2 (two) years
Index no 317 is for joining family with maximum stay of 1 (one) year;
Index no 318 is for repatriation purpose with maximum stay of 1 (one) year
Index no 319 is for pensioners (geriatrics) with maximum stay of 1 (one) year.

Diplomatic/Official Visa
Diplomatic/Official visa is free of charge and has no stay limitation. However, the Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia Darwin only issues visa with maximum stay of 2 (two) months. Should the applicants need to stay longer, they can approach the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia for extensions.
