Memorandum of Understandings/Co-Operations
The Northern Territory Government and the private sectors have been actively involved in agreements for co-operations to foster both the relationship and mutual economic, social and cultural benefits with their Indonesian counterparts. Some of the of the agreements are evidenced by the following :
Memorandum of Understanding 1992

This MOU was signed by both the Governments of the Republic of Indonesia and the Northern Territory in agreement to co-operate in economic development and mutual benefits.
Memorandum Of Co-Operation 2000

This MOC was drawn between the Province of East Kalimantan and the Northern Territory Governments to work together in enhancing mutual gains in infrastructure development, private sector, mining, transportation, agricultural, tourism and education.
Memorandum of Understanding 2001

This MOU was signed by the Governments of the Province of Bali and the Northern Territory for collaboration in the fields of education, culture, tourism, industry and trade, fishery, communication and others that were agreed upon by both parties.

Other notable MOCs are signed between the Northern Territory Chamber of Commerce and its counterparts in Indonesia including Kupang-East Nusa Tenggara Province in 1994; Mataram-Lombok in 1996; and East Kalimantan in 1997.
